Now in its third year, this free event is an all-ages celebration of gaming, cosplay, reading, and all things pop culture. Read the Library's blog or sign up for email newsletters to get the schedule of events, list of special guests, and more (to be announced).
Open Call for Artists:
Dust off those capes, grab your favorite set of dice, and start your next adventure in Downtown Jacksonville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at the Main Library.
Around 40 local creators will have the chance to showcase or sell their original and fandom-inspired creations in our Artists Alley.
Vending:
If you're a local artist, writer, illustrator, animator, cosplayer, maker, or nonprofit organization who'd like to participate, please reach out.
Table space is being offered free of charge but there are a limited amount of spots (and they will fill up quickly)!
Deadline: January 31, 2026.
Cosplay:
Make sure your fandom is represented! Dress up as your favorite hero, space wizard, movie monster or original D&D character! You might just win a prize (and bragging rights). There will be a Kids Costume Parade and two Cosplay Contests with fun prizes for teens and adults:
Runway Category - if you purchased your costume from a store or another maker
Craft Category - if you hand made your costume and props
Throughout the day, con goers also have the chance to interact with special guest cosplayers. You may know some of them from other Northeast Florida conventions or fandom events. While they won't be competing in the contest, they will be available for photos, cosplay or photo tips, and more.
Gaming:
Extra Life and other local gamers and groups are also returning for video game tournaments, Dungeons & Dragons, and more. There will be a whole floor dedicated to gaming!
