1. Give us an introduction to yourself / the band members and the instruments each person plays.
Angie Acedera - Vocals, Eddie Flow - Guitar, Nick Pfent - Guitar, Steve Haley - Drums, Tim Kelly - Bass
2. How did you/the band get started? When did you begin, what influenced you, who helped you along the way, and were you trained or self-taught?
Echo Foxtrot started as a creative outlet for Eddie Flow. In 2024, Echo Foxtrot developed into a full band with Eddie’s recruitment of Steve Haley, Tim Kelly, and Kim Floyd. Kim left the group in mid 2025 and Nick and Angie joined. Eddie has been a huge fan of shoegaze music since the early 90s after hearing My Bloody Valentine. Shoegaze and Dreampop from all over make up our influences. Eddie, Steve, and Tim are self-taught. Angie and Nick are trained pros.
3. What was your first live performance like? Also, what has been your favorite and least favorite show so far, and why?
Our first show, we played The Walrus. The other bands scheduled to play that night had to cancel so we played by ourselves!!
Favorite show - Our comeback show! That feeling of being back AND playing one of the best stages in town AND playing with dear friends made the night one we’ll remember forever.
Least favorite - The next one because it’s not here yet!
4. What has been your biggest challenge to date?
The search! Having to start over with two new members but it’s going well and we love the direction we are going.
5. What sets your music apart from everything else out there?
We have 5 members with 5 VERY different musical backgrounds and experience levels.
6. How do you personally define success for yourself or the band? Do you feel being based in Jacksonville has benefited your career more or less—and why?
Success = Having a good time doing what you love. Being in Jacksonville is a huge benefit. Jacksonville has rich music history that covers all genres and currently has a very active, talented, and supportive music community.
7. What projects are you currently working on or promoting?
We will be recording our second EP soon at North Florida Recordings.
8. Have you toured yet? If so, how far outside of Jacksonville have you made it, and where would you love to play most that you haven’t yet?
Not yet. We played one show in St. Augustine with hopes to play more. We are definitely open to out of town opportunities!
9. What are your craziest “on the road” or wild adventure stories? (Music-related or otherwise.)
Our comeback show, Friday, January 2nd, kind of a holiday weekend? Super unsure of how the weekend’s events would affect the turnout. One band had to drop out due to an injury and both new bandmates were out of town and returning to Jax the day of the show. All went well but the uncertainty was tough!!
10. If you could collaborate or perform with anyone—living or dead—who would it be and why? (Feel free to shout out any living local artists you’d like to work with, too.)
We have 5 different members that would give you 5 different answers! We have plans to collaborate with Erica Reece, and Glass Chapel is doing some remixes for us. We would love to collaborate with others as well. Visitation, LimoScene, Purplespace, just to name a few but the list is endless.
11. What do you/the band members do with your time outside of the band?
Angie - Teaches vocal lessons and piano lessons. Performs with jazz ensembles, in musicals, with other local musicians, and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra!
Eddie - In addition to family life, builds effects pedals, writes music, and attends as many shows as possible
Nick - Teaches music lessons privately and in multiple school settings
Steve - In addition to family life, photography, taking care of cats, caring for an indoor garden of Orchids and African Violets
Tim - Work, music, and attending as many concerts as possible
12. Name one thing you love most about the Jacksonville music scene that sets it apart from other cities.
The music community here is so very supportive. More than anyone could imagine. It’s really beautiful to be a part of and we are always looking for ways to support others.
13. What are your top three favorite local venues to play and your favorite local record store to get music from?
The Walrus, Albatross, and Jack Rabbits if we can only name three. Bruiser Records rocks and also supports the local music scene.
14. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received that you’d pass on to other local bands—and who gave it to you?
Play in front of people every chance you get - Unknown
15. Where’s the best place for fans to connect with you?
